Some of the most famous, flamboyant and dangerous chefs will be demonstrating their culinary talents. Unfortunately, their cooking can be deadly! If someone's head gets stuck in the oven or they get skewered, you may be called upon to solve the crime so the guilty party gets his or her just dessert! Join us for an evening of wondrous recipes, flamboyant characters, and lots of laughs. Friday, Feb 20, Mar 13, April 17, May 15, June 26, July 24, Aug 21, 2009, 6:30PM

"The Doo-Wop Murders"

Don't trip over the dead body, and be careful what you say, and what you drink! You never know who might be killed and become another "teen angel." You might even get to choose the guilty party! Ladies pull out your poodle skirts and saddle shoes. Guys slick back your hair and wear your leather jackets and white t-shirts. Dress in your 50's fashions and make this a memorable event. FABULOUS FIREPLACE FEAST!!

Treat yourself to a one-of-a-kind getaway. Check into one of our luxurious rooms, then head off to Salem Cross Inn for their fabulous fireplace feast. Relax by the fire or lend a hand as dinner is prepared for you in colonial style. Stir the chowder as it bubbles in a cast iron cauldron. See your prime rib, roasted "to a turn" as the only known Roasting Jack still operating in America slowly rotates over a crackling fire of wild cherry logs. While your dinner cooks to perfection, enjoy a horse drawn wagon or sleigh ride through the woods and over the rolling meadows of the Inn's pristine 600 acres. Shake off the chill with warm mulled wine or cider upon your return. After dinner, beware the brimming bowl of freshly whipped cream ~ the perfect compliment to New England's Best Apple Pie.

After dinner it's back to The Red Maple Inn and your elegant accommodations. In the morning, wake up to our signature gourmet three-course breakfast. One night's accommodation and Fireplace Feast for two from $273.00 plus tax and service. One call does it all!

MENU: Savories, Cheese Spread, Mulled Wine & Cider, Chowder of the Sea, Homemade Rolls & Muffins, Prime Rib, Herb-roasted Potatoes, Spinach Pie, Butternut Squash, New England's Best Apple Pie with Freshly Whipped Cream.
